Toasted Pearl Couscous

Toasted Pearl Couscous, also called Israeli Couscous, Giant Couscous or Pearl Pasta, is prepared from wheat flour and can be recognized by its small round pearl shape. It is known for its nutty flavor and smooth mouth feel.

Pearl Couscous has unique cooking properties: it is a no-drain pasta. Therefore, it absorbs all of its liquid during the cooking process, much like rice or risotto. Pearl couscous can be served in soups or as a side dish next to fish, meat or vegetables.

US Durum’s Pearl Couscous is flame-toasted in the authentic Israeli tradition and is made using premium ingredients. Pearl couscous conveniently cooks between 10-12 minutes on the stovetop or in the microwave.
